The site is in a pretty good state right now and I think launching it would be pretty acceptable right now; of course the site has technically been up a for a month, but consider this the "official" launch. Right now you can go and visit chan.blue and explore the site. There are somethings I am still working on right now, but all of the core features I wanted are implemented now. Because of this launch I will be switching updates of the site from this site to the official site, however I'll keep these entries here just for the archive. Here are a couple user invite codes for the OGs who see this.
Closing in : 3/26/23
At this time, channel blue is almost finished, however there are still things that need to be ironed out / refined, so this is not an official "launch". I will keep you all (does anybody even read this ?) updated on the matter. As for the server, I added an antixray plugin (although the ability / usefulness of it is still up in the air) as I would rather have players naturally acquire resources. The question has also been brought up about the rules of the server, as currently there are technically none. I think I will let the playerbase decide upon these rules, however I do not want to have a massive moderation effort to keep them in place. Anyways I'll come back to talk on this later.
Almost Ready : 3/17/23
Its been a while since I've updated this but I have been hard at work on the actual website, so unfortunatley I have not been able to work on this site or the minecraft server (Although I do check on it ; Hello CinderBender). I have pretty much set the entire website up into a deployable form, and I have fixed all of the previous issues and the horrible code that I made many months ago. Before I fully deploy the server I do want configure everything to get the most performance (obviously I dont expect many users, but none the less), but at this rate it will be fully ready by the end of the month. I'll be giving away invite codes (to create an account on the site) to everyone who has previously played on this server, however it should be noted that the main website is not really minecraft related, and that the minecraft server in itself is just meant to be a fun extension of the site.
Great Early Strides : 3/7/23
Yesterday I surprised myself by setting up the entire forum in a working form in like 5 hours using a free trial on a server hosting platform - however I realize that I am far from launch. The more I looked at the codebase the more I realized that some serious changes needed to be made, so I'm guessing it'll be around 2 weeks until I actually deploy it. That being said, progress is very fast.
Deploying blu chan : 3/6/23
Finally decided to try out some server options for blu chan; I'm sure that the platform won't be big enough to merit large server options, so I'm going with some pretty scuffed methods. None the less, if all goes well I will have it up in like a month.
Minecraft Admin Entry / Webiste Entry : 3/5/23
Decided to add this little section to the website to give it more content, soon chan.blue will actually be up. Anyways I'm just going to let the server simmer for now, I'll add updates here if I update anything, etc
